The Bath Film Office markets and promotes Bath and North East Somerset to the film and media industries and liaises with production companies when they are filming in the area.

The office is an accredited Film Commission and promotes and assists film and TV production in Bath & North East Somerset to ensure that your shoot runs as smoothly as possible. Film-makers have been attracted to our area for over 50 years, as can be seen from our MovieMap, so we're used to dealing with all sorts of filming requests, from feature films to student shorts, commercials to travel programmes, and all kinds of documentaries.
As part of Bath & North East Somerset Council, their free service offers:
- Information on locations, local crew, media facilities and local businesses
- Liaison with all necessary council departments and key local contacts such as the police
- Local community projects
- Advice on crew friendly accommodation
As an accredited film commission, they have been offering this service since 1993 and have built up an excellent film friendly reputation throughout the industry. They also have strong links with our regional partners, South West Screen and the Bristol Film Office, and film friendly local authorities in the South West.
Film Friendliness Training
The Bath Film Office has devised and delivered a training programme for regional local authorities with support from South West Screen.
